Original artwork description
A long the shores of Lake Michigan lay the remains of a once great tree. Weathered and worn it still faces every storm. I found it one day while walking along looking for treasures and I knew instantly that I needed to paint it. The following weekend I hiked to it again, this time carrying my paints on my back. I sat down on the shore, with the waves lapping my feet, and painted that uprooted tree.
Uprooted is 12 x 9 inches, oil on stretched canvas. It is framed with rustic barn wood, wired and ready to hang.
