Ciardi has a strong brushstroke and an acute sensitivity to colors, so much so that he is able to recreate moments and places with harmonious concentration, a tactile effervescence that goes, for the viewer, beyond just "looking". loose and harmonious. The gaze stops on the foreground, to get lost later in the depth of the horizon.
