I have visited the Lake District many times and this painting is an attempt to capture the essence of the landscape of the north. Sheep grazing amongst bracken and dry stone walls and the occasional cottage nestled under high fells.
The painting is painted with broad brush strokes with yellows and blues and pinks to create a lively and colourful landscape in an impressionistic style.
The painting is supplied rolled in a tube.
