Original artwork description:
This is my favourite etude from the summer Plein air in Rostov Veliky (Russia) in 2016. Although this view of Lake Nero has nothing to do with Levitan, the relief, perspective, low houses, old Russian monastery in the background constantly reminded me of those motives that were inspiring the great Russian artist. Subsequently, based on this sketch, I created a large painting. Still, I managed to convey a living sense of a place and its state in full only in this small work.
