Continuing my 'powerful places ' series of paintings. This painting draws on my memories of the Ko San road in Bangkok,Thailand. This is a 'must go' to place for backpackers with countless budget guesthouses, cafes, night clubs, restaurants, massage parlours, travel agents, bookshops, market stalls and tattoo shops all crammed in. I bought a fake Rolex Oyster perpetual...which worked for about a week!
Incorporates my characteristic use of reflective paints . Artificial light accentuates the reflective quality of the painting and brings out the neon signs. Created on a 380g high quality, deep box canvas, painted white on the sides, so you may choose not to frame. However I believe that the painting would greatly benefit from framing. The last image indicates an image of my recommendation for framing, which would be with an offset white frame.
Initialled on the front and signed on the back and supplied with a certificate of authenticity. Corded and ready to hang
acrylic
