Original artwork description
The painting brings together a variety of plants and flowers inspired by those I see out on my walks and cycling journeys in and around Taunton to Cornwall. The painting has been built up layer by layer, allowing each flower and plant to co-exist and intermingle with one another, finishing off with a painting of a rose.
The title of the painting comes from the song Kiss from a Rose by Seal. I was listening to this song during painting this painting and felt it was a good title to use, as it has a feeling of being kissed by the rose inspiration.
