Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

In Sanskrit, "Kirtan" means "a community gathering involving chanting, live music, and meditation". This painting is one of my favorites in my yoga series. I wanted to illustrate the energy of sharing spirtuality with a group of others. There is joy, music and movement in the composition. The layering of the hand-painted papers, paint and ink add to the liveliness and vivacity of the piece.

The painting is on 2" deep birch panel and the sides are painted so the piece is ready to hang without any additional framing required.

Materials used:

Hand-painted collage paper, acrylic paint, ink on cradled birch panel
