In June 2023, to celebrate both a landmark birthday and wedding anniversary, I travelled to Tokyo, a place I have long wanted to visit and it did not disappoint.

Kabukicho is a vibrant entertainment and red-light district in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Known for its neon-lit streets and nightlife, it's home to host and hostess clubs, bars, restaurants, love hotels, and entertainment venues like karaoke spots and theatres. While it has a reputation for being seedy due to its ties to the yakuza and adult entertainment, Kabukicho is also a popular tourist destination, offering a unique blend of modern Tokyo culture and nightlife. The original watercolour painting is based on a photograph I took of the bright red gate at the entrance to the district.

The A4 giclée prints have been created using Epson UltrachromeHD pigment inks guaranteed not to fade (under normal lighting conditions) for at least 75 years, and are printed on Epson Velvet Fine Art paper which is acid free and 260g/m in weight.
DELIVERY INFORMATION
In order to avoid trips to the Post Office, I shall be arranging for delivery to be via courier (not Hermes!) and shipping charges will reflect this. As prices will vary depending on the purchaser's location, if the actual shipping price is less than that charged, I will refund the difference. Please note that the frame is heavy so shipping costs will be a consideration. I am happy to arrange collection.

IMPORTANT - Rather sadly I've decided that, following Brexit, I can no longer sell my artwork to purchasers in the EU. The customs/VAT regulations are an absolute nightmare and I don't want to risk purchasers having to fork out a lot of unforeseen extra money when taking delivery, and even if I agree to pay Customs and VAT upfront before sending out, the red tape involved just looks horrendous.

I will still be selling to customers outside the EU as there's been no changes there so everything remains the same. My apologies, all I can say is that I voted to remain.
