I'm lucky enough to spend time in France and decided it was time to embrace the humble, but stylish beret. In the event, I was given one which had belonged to someone very special, and which I shall always treasure. It looks lovely perched on the corner of my bedroom mirror, along with various scarves and beads. Not yet brave enough to wear it, I decided to paint it instead! There is a smidgeon of texture and a touch of gold leaf, creating a contemporary vibe to an evocative subject.

This painting is sold unframed but is suitable to do so should you wish. I do not varnish my paintings , as I prefer the slightly chalky look of the oils as laid down. If you would like it varnished before sending, I can do so at no extra cost.

The painting is signed, dated and titled on the reverse and initialled on the front.

I ship internationally using an insured, tracked and signed for service. Please note that payment of import duty/tax is the responsibility of the buyer.
