This series of paintings were inspired by a trip I made a few years ago to Japan. The solemnity of its people, the majesty of a thousand-year-old culture and, at the same time, the modernity of its society captivated me like no other place I have ever been to before.
With this series I wanted to achieve, on the one hand, the movement of a society in continuous evolution and, on the other hand, his solemnity and respect towards his ancestors.
The use of only three colors, red, black and white wants to achieve a strong impact but, at the same time, respects and does not detract protagonism from the composition, axis of the work.
