Original artwork description
Title: IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO
Acrylic painting on un-stretched linen canvas measuring 155 cm x 130 cm. A good edge has been allowed so that the image can continue around the stretcher bars.
The painting will be shipped free, rolled in a sturdy tube for safe arrival. It will require stretching at your framers, before hanging. The painting is worked in many layers, over a long period of time. Two coats of varnish have been applied to protect the surface.
This is a unique piece of art, you will own the only one, I don't produce prints of my work.
ABOUT MY WORK
I'll begin a painting, with perhaps a colour in mind, or the mere stimulation of a blank surface. The painting takes over and directs the outcome. I love the unpredictability of this method, it's a subliminal message taking control of my trained hand.
It's a search more than a journey, the journey began, it won't end. Sometimes when you're searching, you find something you didn't know you were looking for.
I used to think each painting was a development from the one before and this made it better. Of course this isn't true. Each painting exists in its own individual space, it's a testament to the inner artist and moments in time. Often informing the next piece in either a small or large way.

THE UNEXPECTED - I'm an unpredictable painter, I work in a mess, I like to be out of control.
COLOUR - Fascinated by the theory of colour, the affect this can have on mood and the way the eye adjusts it.
FRAGMENTS – dilution of reality, minimalism.
PERSPECTIVE SHIFTS
PAINT – seductive and almost edible.
