Irises by the Pond – Inspired by Giverny
This painting was inspired by my recent visit to Giverny, France, where Monet’s gardens left an unforgettable impression on me. The circular format of the canvas mirrors the organic rhythm of nature — a quiet pond surrounded by blooming irises, nature reflections shimmering in the gentle movement of water.
Through bold, thick brushstrokes and rich layers of oil, I’ve captured the essence of both places — Giverny’s timeless charm and serene water reflections.
The many shades of blue created in this piece cannot be fully captured in photographs, making the artwork even more special in person. thick oil marks, adding depth and tactile quality — please see the close-up images for details.
