Layered fields of deep grey, muted blue, and earthy green are interrupted by a powerful surge of yellow and sharp traces of red. The composition feels compressed and tense, as if forms are pressing against one another, struggling for space and breath. Dripping lines and raw, uneven textures suggest wounds, fractures, and moments of irreversible rupture. The contrast between heavy, shadowed masses and luminous yellow areas introduces a fragile sense of resistance and inner light.

This work is part of the Invasion series, created in 2022 in response to the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. Through abstraction, the painting reflects fear, violence, and emotional pressure, while also serving as a personal act of processing and endurance in the face of war.
