Acrylic on paper, 61x86 (A1)
This work is part of the Invasion series created in 2022, in direct response to Russia’s full-scale attack on Ukraine. Circular forms and sweeping lines collide within a dark, layered space, suggesting cycles of shock, pressure, and internal rupture. Intense blues dominate the surface, interrupted by sharp accents of yellow and red that resemble flashes of alarm, energy, or wounded light. The textured surface, splashes, and raw gestures reflect an unstable reality where order is constantly breaking apart. Through abstraction, the painting transforms a personal and collective experience of invasion into a visual language of tension, resistance, and survival.
