In the foxglove dell
Morning light,
Walking the Wardour woods, Wiltshire,
I spot a cluster of pink and purple foxgloves,
Some upright and some leaning,
A magnificent and special wild flower,
All the wonders of May.
Words and feelings.
Remembering the foxgloves last May in my local woodland and can’t wait to see them again this year.
Original impressionist flowerscape using my sable hair brushes to create the fine detail and colours plus a small fan brush hogs hair for the background fern effect.
Textured watercolour paper acid free Saunders Waterford St Cuthberts mill. 300 gsm 140lb. Loose background washes were applied after the detail of the foxgloves.
