In the birch grove (2016) Original Oil Painting by Kujbus Janos

🔷 STORY
In "In the birch grove," I create a sharp, satirical commentary on the absurd extremes of modern environmental activism. While protecting nature is a vital necessity, some reckless individuals approach it with fanatical methods that completely defy common sense. I wanted to capture the internal psychological blindness of this fixation. The young woman is so completely consumed by an illogical, counterproductive task that she becomes entirely disconnected from the very environment she claims to defend. She stands frozen in her own frantic simulation, unable to actually perceive or enjoy the pure beauty of the woods around her. For me, this artwork serves as a clear psychological warning against hollow, performative actions that ultimately do more harm than good, holding up an ironic mirror to the blindness of modern fanaticism.
