From a welter of dark wax drawings in Hawkes Wood in North Cornwall - a very special place for me - emerged two quite large rich paintings (cf. Going down in the wood). I was trying to summon up something experienced in this ancient unspoilt woodland.
Exhibited at the Museum of North Devon, Barnstaple, as part of the North Devon Art Award exhibition.
Framed by artist. Can be frontally signed if wished.
Spectrum oil paint, knives, sticks, paste medium.
