A beautiful long exposure impressionist seascape from the Isle of Skye in shades of blue and turquoise.

Made on the little beach near Staffin at the north end of the island near my studio. I was mesmerised by the ice-cream tones of the fluffy dawn clouds on the wet sand. It felt as if you were walking on clouds above a turquoise see. In the distance are the hills of the Scottish Highlands. A lovely summery piece that is uplifting and calming.

Image size 20 x 20 inches plus 2 inches of white border. The artwork is signed, numbered and titled in the border under the image.

I am passionate about printing! I only use the finest materials for my work and for this collection I will be using wonderful heavy weight. Canson Aquarelle Fine Art 320gsm paper. This paper is slightly creamy which helps whites stand out and it has the most fabulous texture and holds colour for a lifetime. Canson have been making paper for over 450 years and their paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Miro and Warhol to name but a few and after years of printing, I am confident there is no finer paper. The inks I use are state-of-the-art non fade Epson Ultrachrome K3 with Vivid Magenta and the combination of the inks and paper create an image that will not fade for over a hundred years.
