The influences in this series of paintings are manyfold. I'm inspired by medieval knot patterns, science fiction, symbolism, how elements were forged to create the building blocks of life, and stained glass windows - they all come into play in the DNA imagery.
My fascination is with the mystery of existence and the building blocks that were forged in the big bang and stars - elements.

Painted on 250lb Bockingford watercolour paper. This painting is sold with a frame but the frame isn't made until the painting is sold. Framing adds approx. one week onto shipping turnover time. The framed photo is a digital mockup of what it looks like.
