This print is a view from Victorian Ilkley rooftops to the iconic Cow and Calf rock formation in the distance, high on Ilkley Moor.
The Cow and Calf Rocks are a large rock formation consisting of an outcrop and boulder so named because one is large, with the smaller one sitting close to it, like a cow and calf. (Can't quite see it myself!)
Ilkley Moor is famous in Yorkshire for the local dialect folk song 'on Ilkla moor bhat'at' (On Ilkley Moor without a hat).
This print differs slightly with brown chimney pots and a similar coloured heather to the Beamsley Beacon print for those that like things that match!
This is a 12 colour hand pulled silk screen print in A1 size. A limited edition of 46.
