Iceland landscape 8 (2025) Original Ink Drawing by Steve Potts
14 x 9.5cm (unframed) / 12 x 7.5cm (actual image size)
£150
Original artwork description
One of the things Iceland does that is hard to account for on paper is silence. Not just the absence of noise, but a quality of stillness that the landscape seems to generate from its own scale and emptiness. This small drawing (approx 4 x 6 inch) tries to hold some of that: a wide view compressed into a very small surface. I'm not sure this one quite captures the scale of the place, but I love this little sketch. We visited as a family in the summer of 2025 and views like this have stayed with me.
