Original artwork description
A pair of old skates - vintage 1960's, I think, hanging on an old nail in the winter sunlight. The light had an almost bluish quality, which was most obvious in the shadows. I painted this with a very dry brush to capture some of the rough nature of the old timbers.
This painting is framed with a simple black wooden moulding.
Materials used:
Highest quality artists' oil paint on heavy Italian linen canvas.
