I was full of doubt and wonder (2026) Original Oil Painting by Flora Butler

I made this piece over the course of many months. It started with the deep brown base layer, followed by a layer of mycelium-like white strands in diluted oil paint. I then added two more layers in oil, followed by a final layer delicately drawn over the top in acrylic. The mixture of mediums and multi-layered process creates depth and a brings the piece a misty, ethereal quality.

Similar to 'Tidal drift' and 'Spring blossoms', the grain of the wooden panel is visible through the layers of paint, rooting the piece in its natural beginnings.

This piece is signed and dated on the back and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. It will be carefully wrapped in tissue paper and foam board, then shipped in a cardboard box within 5 working days.
