The purpose of abstract art, other than to elevate the soul or lighten the heart, is to create a spring board for your imagination. Realism prescribes exactly what your mind will see before you have the chance to choose how you would like to interprate it yourself. The abstract leaves incumbent on you the selection of art that makes your mind fly. That's what my husband said when "I Want Candy" was in progress. "A mass of balloons ins flight", he exclaimed. As I further massaged this diptych, it took on the whimsical, character of a Disney candy store. Hang "I Want Candy" in a smart, sophisticated space, and it might make you take yourself and your day a little less seriously.

The painting size as represented in-situ is relatively accurate, but not exact. The deep 1-1/2" edges of your canvas have been painted as extensions of the main composition.
