I Miss My Wild Days (2026) Original Watercolour by Kristen Olson Stone

Inspired by my love of combining patterns and textures, this colorful, cheery painting depicts a young, striped zebra in a maximalist styled living room. She sits on a floral print sofa, behind her hangs a beautiful painting of the African Savannah with a pair of zebras grazing. Two paintings of hornbills also hang on the wall.
This is part of my series of paintings of wildlife and pets in interesting, maximalist styled interiors. I'm having so much fun painting these!
