I hear water in my dreams (2026) Original Oil Painting by Flora Butler

61 x 61 x 1.75cm (unframed)

1 Artist Review

£740

This piece was built up through a layered process, beginning with an initial layer of paint followed by soft, circular forms covering the canvas. These marks were then partially obscured by two further layers of thin, blended blue tones, allowing them to recede and dissolve into the composition. This process creates a sense of depth, as if the circles are suspended beneath the surface, glimpsed through shifting veils of colour.

Gentle transitions and subtle textural variations suggest movement beneath the surface, reminiscent of light filtering through water or colour diffusing in the sky at dusk. The absence of defined forms invites a contemplative response, encouraging the viewer to settle into the work and experience its calm, meditative quality.

This piece is signed and dated on the back and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. It will be carefully wrapped in tissue and foam board and shipped in a cardboard box within five working days
