Humid (2021) Original Collage by Emaan

It is from my thesis project series, 'Topophilia', an inherent connection to places & environments. As I transition from one location to another, I am deeply drawn to the emotive & sensory qualities each place holds. My work documents these experiences through my compositions & altering perspectives, resulting in imaginary ‘mind palaces’ layered with personal reflections.

This piece is constructed using found materials collected from the same space it depicts: receipts, tickets, paper fragments & everyday remnants. By incorporating these elements into the composition, the work holds onto the pure essence of the place.
