This work depicts a traditional barber shop on Hull's Hessle Road. I was struck by the red brick and the yellow signage. Hessle Road is one of Hull's most historic areas, an area once vibrant for its fishing industry. Yet despite its setbacks the road is full of community and independent shops.
The work is 0.4 inches deep and can therefore hang without the need for framing if wished.
