Original artwork description
Painting created from free improvisation. Action painting with music by Placebo
A work created after a boat trip around the island of Ibiza.
The sea, the light, the life, the salt, the sun, the sea breeze...
A work built in multiple layers, the new covers the old but always leaves its mark. Like in the life of a person or like in the evolution of a species. We only see the present moment but many things have happened previously that, in some way, are there.
We adapt to the environment and move on, everything disappears but leaves its legacy in our genetics and in our culture. Animals, beings, shapes, lines and stains.
Gestural and intuitive painting, which lets unforeseen things happen, accepts the accident and takes advantage of it.
Need to tell things, to leave a mark, to understand the world, which is always modern and ancient.
Nothing matters much... Working with a lost gaze...

acrylic, gesso, pigments, charcoal, wax, graphite, tempera, pastel, indian ink
