A bright impressionistic painting of Houghton Mill. Sitting on the banks of the Great Ouse in Cambridgeshire the mill is owned by the National Trust. It is one of the few remaining working mills along the Great Ouse.
The thing that always fascinates me is the blackness of the wooden boarding on the outside of the building. It is such an intense black that it almost looks like velvet.
The painting is supplied rolled in a tube.
