Hope Valley Morning
On holiday I sat looking out over the valley while the family explored some caves. I'd sooner be outside enjoying the sunshine than underground.
So I created this painting with vibrant colours just to emphasise the point!

This is an original oil painting on prepared board.

Size: 6" x 6" (15 x 15 cm) and comes in a dark wood frame with gold trim 8.5" x 8.5" (21 x 21 cm)

The good news is that oil paintings are pretty robust.

Keep away from direct sunlight and steam. Dust occasionally and your painting will last for decades.

There's something quite satisfying about a small oil painting.
To me the square ones are particularly precious and I love to hold them in my hand.
They can brighten up a small corner, make beautiful gifts and they are a wonderful way of getting into collecting original art.
