This work is part of “Le Moschine”, a series of surrealist pop paintings in acrylic and pastel colors on canvas and wood, inspired by the American cartoon style of the twenties and thirties of the twentieth century and by lowbrow and pop surrealist painting.
Bibendum, better known in Italy as "Michelin Man" is a very famous character born in France at the end of the 19th century to advertise bicycle tires. He could not miss as a guest in the gallery
of “Le Moschine”, to tell us a story that could be summed up in the Latin motto “homo homini cactus” (it was so, right?).
The writing in Cyrillic characters does not have a direct meaning, but rather the function of adding something indecipherable, enigmatic and romantic, or at least it is the effect they have on me Russian language.
The painting has a gilded wooden frame, ready to hang.
Wood panel, Acrylic paint, coloured pencils
