This trawler is heading back after fishing in some severe weather. Registered in Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides fishing boats like this one were designed and built to withstand the severest of weather. Not earning money if stuck in the harbour - out to sea they would go, often out fishing for a week at a time.

This 20 x 30 inch traditional and dramatic original oil painting, accurately depicts this updated mid twentieth century trawler and with the sea painted in a style to depict the energy of the waves.

The framed examples are for illustration purposes only. This painting will be shipped in a purpose built robust plywood box to secure safe delivery.
