This work is a homage to the classical composer Richter and in particular, to 'On the Nature of Daylight'. The brushwork expresses the movement of the notes and the colour palette was taken from Gericault's First Study for the Raft of the Medusa (1819). The tones are organic and earthy to produce a sense of contemplation.
