The Hill of the Red Fox is a dramatic extinct volcano on the Isle of Skye. It forms part of the Trotternish Ridge at the top end of our island and in Summer, it is covered in thick, green grass dotted with our native black face sheep, looking so small on this vast mountainside.

On wonderful, atmospheric days, when the sunlight is strong but there is a lot of mist and cloud moving in the wind, the light flits across the landscape creating vivid pools of colour and highlighting the texture of these ancient mountains. It is almost as if there was a sumptuous green velvet blanket draped across gritty, black rock. The path to the top of the hill disappears into the mist, looking at it I found myself wondering about being up there in the surreal atmosphere of the clouds.

About My Work
I believe in giving my clients beautiful artwork on luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper for over 450 years in France. I do all my own printing, having spent years learning this skill I prefer to maintain control of the colour representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image.
