One of my recent plein-air paintings, typical of the Ashdown Forest in East Sussex. I have used a myriad of bright summer greens with bluer greens to contrast the Scots pines and shade against the backdrop. The painting is set in a white painted wood frame with a shadow gap between canvas and frame.
