Escaping to a cabin in the woods is a secret desire for so many of us. Society can be an overwhelming place, demands from those aground us can feel never ending. Sometimes we need time and space to decompress, to listen to our own needs, to heal. Allowing ourselves this time isn't always possible and even when it is we feel guilty for taking it. We may not be lucky enough to have our own hideaway nestled among tall trees and far from the demands of life, but this piece is a reminder that looking after ourselves is not selfish, it is not a luxury, it is survival.
