An angel pours heavenly light to refill the crescent moon and the lovers' hands conduct this flow to earth.

I have painted the male figure as blue, so I am thinking he has a heavenly presence; perhaps he is a god or an angel himself because I've added droplets of light to his back and his feet. The woman I have portrayed in warmer colours so she personifies Earth..

Finely painted in Winsor & Newton watercolour and permanent Derwent Inktense pencil on heavy 320 gsm Indian handmade cotton paper which is acid free, with deckle edge.

My artworks are very much affected by my surroundings and in late December and through January 2020, I found myself painting a series of tree images on this lovely paper.
