Drawn in Paris during the height of police violence against yellow vest protestors, this piece reflects the similarities between authority in France and Hong Kong.
Sitting in a cupboard sized flat in Paris, high above the sounds of ambulances, police cars and the general city thrum, I felt I needed to show solidarity in whatever small way possible with those in Hong Kong and the police brutality they were (and still are) experiencing.
Drawn on a page of a vintage copy of 'The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady' and framed in an up-cycled frame, painted to match the illustration's colours.
vintage paper, pencil, acrylic, vintage frame
