Original artwork description
Driving as a passenger in a car has one great advantage – watching the ever-changing view from the window, always different.
The trees in the background melt into a dark, blurred mass, maybe even coming toward us. The highway looks wet after rain – the reflection of the illuminated object on the left seems to confirm it. The comet-like trail of light on the right could be a car entering our view from afar.
The composition feels as if it is constantly moving, guiding the eye in a circular motion from one element to another – seemingly searching for the source of the quiet tension that can be felt in the air.
Exhibited in: “Endurlings. The End of the City”, Warsaw, 2025 – the artist’s MFA graduation exhibition.
