Hay Bails near Lindesfarne
I began this painting on a camping holiday, meeting 30 members of our family on a wild campsite. I painted the initial stage of the painting in a few hours on location near the beginning of the holiday and later in the week, the hay field was cut and bailed into rolls. When back in the studio the following week I completed the painting by adding the bails of Hay which brought a dynamic aspect to the painting.
