Hare in the moonlight (2015) Original Collage by Fiona Plaisted

I love the long ears and huge eyes of the Hare and this one was peeking through the long grass and flowers. I hope I've captured some of the magic that surrounds these beautiful creatures. I've layered the starry night sky and the field with a range of blues, silver and white.

I start the canvas with a rough pencil sketch and then I add the coloured paper before building up the layers with acrylic paint. The last thing I add are the embellishments of thread, beads, buttons and glitter to pick out or highlight certain areas.
