The atmosphere of the port of Hamburg with its cranes, container bridges, the water of the Elbe in Hamburg weather...I have tried to capture all this in an abstract way.
Similar to classical Impressionism and later Cezanne's painting, I am interested in the effect of the light, which can be well reproduced by a patchy application of paint.
Oil (Lukas Berlin, lightfast and highly pigmented) on canvas (stretcher),
116x81x1.5 cm.
The edges are painted, the painting can be hung without additional framing.
