“Habitat” 90x80” oil painting on canvas.
I kept the drips over the young gorilla, emphasising the worry for the future and the wilderness he lives in. You can see the concern in the monkey's face, with one arm over her baby to protect him and the other almost in a reference to the “Thinking Man” famous statue.
The canvas comes rolled in glycine paper and should be stretched onto a wooden board. This is polycotton canvas, which is light but extremely strong due to its tightly woven fabric. This is why I like it so much. It is inexpensive to have a framer restretch a rolled canvas—around £100 for this canvas. Shipping is several times cheaper when sent rolled, which is why I only send it this way.

I’m a London-based artist, and my work often reflects vivid and surreal imagery inspired by my unique experience with REM intrusion—a condition where dream-like visions can appear while I’m awake. My paintings explore the boundary between waking reality and the dream world, using layered compositions to create a sense of depth and movement.

I paint with high-quality materials and put a lot of thought into texture and detail. My process is a mix of intuitive brushwork and deliberate layering, aiming to create pieces that are rich in emotion and invite you to see something new each time you look at them.

This piece will be carefully packaged using protective materials and dispatched via a tracked courier. If you have any questions or special requests, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
