Standing tall throughout the meadow. Their purple crowns swaying gently in the breeze. Regal, proud, almost arrogant against the blue skies. Its armor catches the sun and glimmers slightly. It has few enemies. It is beautiful and it is cherished. The Scottish Thistle.

I love painting these florals, full of bold colors and movement. The thistle comes from my Scottish heritage of which I am proud.

Guardians of the Meadow is 12 x 9 inches, watercolor on paper. It is signed on the front and signed/dated on the back.
