Green Wave is a dramatic seascape oil painting on canvas by realist artist Christopher Witchall.
Inspired by summer visits to the English South coast, Christopher Witchall continues his preoccupation with the movement and colours of the ocean, a movement frozen in time between the ancient past and an endless future.
The artist’s unsentimental approach to his subjects combine two great passions - a love of traditional painting techniques and a fascination with the photographic image. The result of this are paintings that are both painterly and highly realistic.
Green Wave is painted on a 30 x 40” deep edge stretched canvas, so there is no need for framing and can be hung immediately. It is signed on the front and supplied with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
