Sometimes a rainy autumn day turns out to be much more beautiful than you expected. The wet path reflects the golden trees, the leaves shine on the ground, and the whole park seems to have become a little brighter because of the rain. You walk along it without hurrying, looking at the reflections, and suddenly realise that there is really nowhere else you need to be. Perhaps this is the nicest thing about autumn — it gives you an excuse to slow down and simply enjoy the way the world looks.
