Golden Meridian is a large contemporary abstract painting that explores structure, depth and the interplay of light across layered surfaces.

While creating this piece, I worked intuitively with horizontal movements and expressive vertical elements, allowing the paint to flow, drip and accumulate into textured forms. The composition developed gradually through multiple layers of acrylic paint, creating depth and visual rhythm across the canvas.

The palette combines sophisticated shades of blue grey, charcoal and soft ivory, enriched with luminous accents of metallic gold acrylic. These golden elements catch the light and bring warmth and energy to the cooler tones, creating a refined contrast that shifts depending on the surrounding light.

Using palette knife techniques together with expressive brushwork, I built textured surfaces that interact with softer atmospheric areas of paint. Some sections reveal thick layered texture while others remain fluid and open, allowing the composition to feel expansive and dynamic.

From a distance the painting presents a powerful contemporary presence. Up close, the viewer discovers intricate textures, subtle tonal transitions and the physical gestures of the painting process.

With its elegant palette of blue grey, charcoal, ivory and metallic gold, Golden Meridian integrates beautifully into contemporary interiors, minimalist homes and modern architectural spaces where artwork becomes a strong visual focal point.

The artwork measures 140 × 80 cm and will be shipped rolled in a protective tube for safe international delivery.
