Returning to a favourite theme of Paul's, Gold is a metre square edge painted box canvas in oilpaint with texture which reflect in a loose semi abstract rendition the wonderful colours of late summer with leaves changing colour, increasingly low evening sun with atmospheres radiating from the ancient forest floor. Colours are highlighted with radiating beams of light splintered by oak and beech tree limbs.
