Original artwork description

With Go with the Flow I wanted to loosen up, stop overthinking, and let instinct guide me. Working across the three pieces of paper, I allowed colours and shapes to appear almost on their own, following whatever felt alive in the moment.

As the pieces unfolded, they gave me a sense of freedom I hadn’t felt in a long time—playful, spontaneous, and quietly joyful. The botanical abstract art forms seem to drift and dance, echoing the natural rhythms that have always inspired me. My hope is that these paintings carry a sense of lightness, curiosity, and energy moving from one panel to the next.

The professional quality acrylic paints were applied to heavy weight paper with rollers, palette knives, stencils and sponges in layers of colour. I added collage by cutting shapes from my own hand-painted sheets and glueing them with archival acrylic medium. The drawn lines are graphite or water-soluble crayons which are permanently fixed. The painting continues to edges of the paper. Signed on the front.

Each image is 59.5 x 32 cm giving total image size 179 x 32 cm. It will cover more wall space by the time its framed plus a reasonable space between them - I'd estimate 280cm but it depends on how you get them framed.

They come unframed, flat-packed in a strong box.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint on acid free paper with hand painted collage
